Kent Nagano leads Mahler’s Resurrection with the Philharmonia

On 19 March 2026, Kent Nagano will conduct the Philharmonia Orchestra in Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 2, Resurrection, one of Mahler’s most transformative works.

The evening will open with Hildegard of Bingen’s O vis aeternitatis, a contemplative prelude chosen by Nagano himself to frame Mahler’s journey from darkness to renewal. Soprano Jane Archibald, mezzo‑soprano Christina Bock, and the Philharmonia Chorus join him for the symphony’s radiant conclusion.
