Kent Nagano premieres two new operas at the Hamburg Staatsoper

Kent Nagano premieres Unsuk Chin’s new opera The Dark Side of the Moon, commissioned by Hamburg Staatsoper, and a new chamber opera ‘The Illusions of William Mallory’ composed by Rodolphe Bruneau-Boulmier. Both new operas will be repeated across May and June as part of Nagano’s final season as Music Director of Hamburg Staatsoper alongside a production of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde.
